7th SUmmer school in prague/ Czech Republic 2010

For the 7th Summer School of Gastroenterology organised by ASNEMGE & EAGE, we were happy to welcome 100 young gastroenterologists from 25 national societies from all over Europe in Prague, Czech Republic.

In the morning, cases were presented for discussion, accompanied by related lectures on pathogenesis, presentation and management. For all participants to profit from these sessions, delegates were encouraged to participate actively; they posed questions and commented on the presented cases.
The afternoon parallel skills hands-on sessions complemented the theoretical knowledge gained in the morning. In a total of 8 different courses, all participants were able to practise their skills in endoscopic procedures and ultrasound, among others.
Please use the link below for a view of the scientific programme.

During the evenings, there were opportunities for the delegates and faculty from across Europe to meet, socialise and exchange ideas, which was appreciated just as much as the scientific presentations during the day.

Thanks to the continuous engagement of the two Course Directors, Joost Ph Drenth (ASNEMGE) and Heinz Hammer (EAGE), the Summer School continues to be a highly regarded post-graduate teaching programme well-known among the European GI community.

We would like to extend our thanks to the sponsors and supporters of the Summer School 2010: UEGF, Olympus, Siemens, and ECE Training GmbH.

We are pleased to announce that the Summer School will continue in 2011. More information will be available soon at www.asnemge.org.
