Starting at UEGW Barcelona 2010, ASNEMGE will be introducing a second scheme, similar to the ASNEMGE Rising Star, designed to identify and nurture promising young investigators at a more junior level – The National Scholar Award (NSA). This scheme aims to encourage early career researchers that can then feed into the ‘senior’ Rising Star initiative.
We hope to attract the widest spectrum possible of young investigators from across Europe and the Mediterranean countries and to stimulate Rising Star applications from areas of Europe that have traditionally been poorly represented.
The NSAs will be based on National Society affiliation, such that one NSA will be awarded per ASNEMGE-affiliated country based on the highest accepted abstract score from that country from a first author clinical or non-clinical trainee aged less than 35 years.
